You know some stuff but what can you do with it. Skills are the teachable actions we learn through others and through practice. The ultimate purpose of L&D is to build our learner’s skills and make them more capable of doing their jobs.

Knowledge is a foundational part of building any skill. Before we can do anything, we need to know things. There is so much knowledge in the world how do we make sense of it? What areas should I focus on to train my learners? What is the must know areas rather than the nice-to-know areas?

Work can define who we are. Work is important. Work enables us to focus our passions and provide value to others.

You can’t write an instructional objective without thinking through the words you use. They matter.

When working with experts, do all you can to record their screen. But what if you can’t use screen recording software?
